Scott Overholser DDS lives the adage that the process of learning takes a lifetime to complete. In his chosen profession, dentistry, he has become successful, especially as he has amassed thirteen years of dental surgery experience to back him up. But what makes him tick is this: he has a passion for learning new things that add not only to his resume but to the totality of the person that Scott Overholser DDS is. For instance, he spends hundreds of hours each year pursuing continuing education that keeps him updated on the latest in dental materials and technology. Through becoming a formal member of trade-specific associations, particularly, the American Dental Association, the Illinois State Dental Society and the Chicago Dental Society, he further advances his knowledge in the dental profession.

The above-stated are, to be sure, some of the reasons Scott Overholser DDS is much sought-after as a clinician. Dr. Scott Overholser Engagements

Being a dental surgeon is not the only thing that engages Dr. Scott Overholser. In addition to his practice, he is also involved in management consultancy, real estate consultancy, as well as volunteer work at a non-profit organization — Vital Bridges. As if that’s not enough to occupy his time, he is active in a wide array of activities and hobbies ranging from kayaking the Chicago river to attending a variety of professional athletic events.

Managing and operating his own private practice from 1997 to 2004, Dr. Scott Overholser acquired and developed managerial skills that would enable him to diversify, expand his skill set and venture into other fields. He found his niche in management and real estate consultancy — at which, he thrives.

Yet, Dr. Scott Overholser is not all about his dental career, and management and real estate consultancy work. To give back to society is one of the things that he finds fulfilling and Vital Bridges has given him that opportunity. Its target clients are people suffering from HIV/AIDs which it seeks to help by delivering to them high quality basic needs and enabling them to find stability in their lives.

In 2007, Dr. Scott Overholser moved to Chicago, Illinois where he is currently practicing at the Dental Salon in Lincoln Park.

Dr Scott Overholser DDS works hand-in-hand with several different labs in the Chicagoland area to ensure that his patients receive the highest esthetic and functional quality for their dental work.  Dental technicians are artisans who work in labs to fabricate dental restorations.  Using impressions, x-rays, and other media attained from the patient in the dental office, lab techs help to fabricate anything from dentures to crowns to porcelain veneers.

The lab technicians that Dr Scott Overholser DDS works with have among the most experience, education, and training available.  Many dentists try to save money by using cheaper labs or even outsourcing work overseas.  But, Dr Scott Overholser DDS believes that you get what you pay for.  And even though his lab charges are a little higher than those of the average dentist, the results are well work it. Scott Overholser as an Organizational Manager

Scott Overholser’s list of achievements does not only include the excellence he has attained in the dental field, but also his accomplishments in terms of organizational management  and human and personnel relations. Scott Overholser developed an advertising campaign to boost the publicity of his own facility. The dynamic marketing plan involved numerous informative public speaking engagements as well as traditional advertising in print media. The campaign, whose goal was to emphasize name recall and encourage new patients and clients to schedule appointments, was very active in newsletters, magazines, and other print media. The success of the campaign was measured by the source of new patients who responded to the measured marketing.

Scott Overholser was also very creative in his goals to increase the number of patients utilizing the facility based on reward systems. He devised a method which encouraged patients to make referrals because they received discounts on procedures like tooth bleaching and frequent touch-ups. Scott Overholser also devised a referral system where the original referrer would earn points toward gift certificates depending on how many referrals they made.
